JORDÃO celebrates its 40th anniversary
JORDÃO, a reference company in the refrigeration sector, celebrates its 40th anniversary by investing in the future.
On the 15th of June 1982, a new pioneering project in the Portuguese commercial refrigeration sector was started in Guimarães. On this day, with the connection to the electrical network, the production of the first JORDÃO equipment began. José Júlio Jordão had thus set his dream in motion.
Over the last 40 years, the company has put its experience at the service of the constant search for innovative solutions that combine design, high performance, service efficiency, low energy consumption and environmental sustainability. Helping to bring into reality the aspirations of retailers and brands. As well as for the success of its customers' business, by designing solutions that improve operational efficiency and the shopping experience, to increase sales and consumer loyalty.
To celebrate the date, the company gathered its business partners in a day to share memories, stories and emotions, but also to launch lines for the future. In the morning, a visit to the renewed showroom - with a new area dedicated to digital transformation, technology, smart solutions and environmental sustainability - and to the factory, where guests were updated on the company's latest changes and investments in industrial equipment. And then, in the afternoon, at Teatro Jordão in a session that included the presentation of the strategy for the coming years and the performance of the Guimarães Young Singers, students from the Guimarães Musical Society, and a group of Nicolinos. The event was attended by the Mayor of Guimarães, Dr. Domingos Bragança, and Dr. António Cunha, President of CCDR-N.
JORDÃO's 40th anniversary is marked by a strong investment in the future. The company is currently expanding its production area into two new units, which represent an increase of 58% compared to the current area.
But there are also changes in terms of the brand. As a result of the recognition and notoriety achieved, the company adopts the new brand JORDAO, replacing the previous JORDAO COOLING SYSTEMS. Simpler and more focused, it reflects the swiftness of a market in constant evolution.
This dynamism is also found in the 40th anniversary symbol, where blue, traditionally associated with refrigeration, technology and industry, is united with the green of energy efficiency and sustainability.
